Swatchtek Has Been Family-Owned and Operated Since 1968
WARREN HARRIS, FOUNDER
Warren Harris founded Flortek Corporation over 52 years ago in Bayonne, NJ. Originally, Flortek focused on sampling for the flooring industry. Over time, however, Flortek diversified, evolving to support a wide spectrum of materials for both contract and residential use, mainly specializing in the textile and wallcovering industries.
Warren continued to expand upon Flortek’s capabilities, embracing innovation and technology while remaining committed to the work ethic, human touch, and precision that built the company. Most recently, in 2019, recognizing an opportunity for growth, Warren played an integral part in bringing Flortek’s new brand identity, Swatchtek, to life.
Sadly, after battling ALS, Warren passed away in March 2020. His love for the company and pride in all of its accomplishments remained with him until the very end.
Fortunately, however, for the past 21 years, Warren’s son, David, has been helping to lead the company. In March 2019, David made the transition to President, and he has been working tirelessly to position Swatchtek for another 50+ years of success.

As Swatchtek continues to evolve, it remains committed to embracing the new while also drawing inspiration and guidance from the old. In an ever-changing world, the customer continues to be king at Swatchtek, just as they were when Warren started Flortek in 1968.
